Let Death Dance Again is an Amsterdam-based research and design studio founded by S†ëfan Schäfer, investigating the power of death, memorial and commemorative ritual in relation to environmental devastation. LDDA enquires into contemporary values found in the allegorical concept of the Dance of Death, and its incorporation into daily life and contemporary aesthetics. All projects result in various media, are declared D.E.A.D. (Death. Environment. Anthropocene. Design), and have been internationally exhibited at amongst others Krasnoyarsk Biennale, St. Etienne Design Biennale, Festival International de l’affiche et des arts graphiques de Chaumont, DOX Centre for Contemporary Art Prague, Bureau Europa Maastricht, Cape Town Design Capital, Bangkok Art Book Fair, Dutch Design Week Eindhoven. Schäfer lectured about his work at OTIS College of Art and Design Los Angeles, Sandberg Institute Amsterdam, VSVD Bratislava, Institute of Contemporary Arts London.
